Astra Podcast Awards is an awards program dedicated to celebrating and recognizing excellence in podcasting and narrative audio, presented by the Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) a nonprofit professional organization composed of critics, journalists, content creators, podcasters, publicists, producers, and other entertainment industry professionals. The awards are part of the broader Astra Awards program and were introduced as a new podcast-focused branch in 2025, expanding the scope of the Astra Awards beyond film and television.
The program features multiple competitive categories spanning a wide range of genres and subject areas, including comedy, science, health and wellness, sports, pop culture, true crime, and more, as well as a special Podcast of the Year honor. Winners are selected through a nomination and voting process conducted by HCA committees and members.
The inaugural ceremony took place in October 2025 in Los Angeles, featuring a live broadcast and participation from prominent figures in the podcasting industry.
