The Audio Verse Awards are an annual awards ceremony celebrating outstanding achievement in immersive audio fiction, including audio plays, improvised productions, and spoken word performances. Launched in 2013 by a dedicated team emerging from the Audio Drama Talk community and a Facebook group, the awards are designed to recognize the greatest people and productions in audio fiction worldwide, providing visibility to creators of audio storytelling across diverse genres and styles.
Nominations and entries are open each September/October, with eligibility focusing on fictional audio productions that include performance and sound design elements, and that are available via public platforms like RSS feeds, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify. Winners are selected by community voting, celebrating excellence in creativity, production, and storytelling within the audio fiction space, and reinforcing the sense of community among creators and listeners.
