The Australian Audio Awards are a newly established annual celebration created to recognise and promote outstanding achievements across Australia’s audio industries including radio, podcasting, and other audio formats. Launched in 2025 and debuting with its first awards ceremony scheduled for May 28, 2026, the awards aim to honour excellence, creativity, innovation, and impact in audio production, highlighting programmes, creators, broadcasters, and productions that exemplify quality and innovation in the medium. The awards seek to celebrate work that demonstrates engaging content, technical excellence, and cultural relevance, while providing benchmarks of success and fostering collaboration across the Australian audio community.
Organised in partnership by leading audio-industry media and trade publications including Mumbrella, RadioToday, and Radioinfo and supported by a panel of industry professionals, the awards bring together voices from commercial and public broadcasting, independent podcast producers, and other audio creators. They are judged by a large jury of industry figures selected for their expertise and commitment to elevating standards in Australian audio.
Through multiple categories recognising excellence in both radio and podcast formats and now expanding to include distinctions such as station-produced and agency-produced audio commercials the Australian Audio Awards aim to foster innovation, reward creative achievement, and strengthen the national profile of Australia’s vibrant audio sector.
