The Black Podcasting Awards are an annual awards program celebrating outstanding achievements by podcasts hosted by Black creators, recognizing excellence in creativity, production, and storytelling within the global Black podcasting community. Founded in 2020 as a non-profit organization (501(c)(3)), the Black Podcasting Awards were created to provide a by us, for us platform that highlights talent often overlooked by broader award circuits, amplifying Black voices both behind the microphone and in audio production.
Nominations and submissions are open to podcasts that meet specific eligibility criteria such as having a minimum number of published episodes within the evaluation period and being primarily hosted by Black podcasters allowing creators from different countries and backgrounds to compete across a wide range of categories.
Winners are selected through a community-driven judging process involving volunteer judges and audience participation, with awards that include formal recognition, community support, and increased visibility, ultimately celebrating excellence, diversity, and cultural impact in Black podcasting.
